1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using the FYL mobile app ("FYL," "the app," "we," "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. What FYL Is
FYL helps adult recreational athletes find, create, and manage local sports leagues, tournaments, and teams. FYL is a platform that connects players, team captains, and league/tournament organizers — it does not itself organize, referee, insure, or supervise any game, league, or tournament listed in the app.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use FYL. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement.
4. Your Account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information (name, email, phone number) when creating your account and to keep it up to date.
5. User Content
You're solely responsible for the leagues, teams, tournaments, rosters, badge images, and any other content you create or upload to FYL ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant FYL a license to display it within the app to other users as necessary to operate the service (for example, showing your league to other players searching nearby, or your team's roster to your own players).
You agree not to post User Content that is false, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, or that infringes anyone else's rights. We may remove User Content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
6. Fees Between Users
Leagues and tournaments may list a fee per team. FYL does not process, collect, or hold any payments. Any fee is set and collected directly between the league/tournament organizer and the registering team, by whatever method they arrange between themselves. FYL is not a party to that transaction and is not responsible for collecting, refunding, or resolving disputes over these fees.
7. Assumption of Risk — Physical Activity
Participating in sports carries an inherent risk of injury. FYL is a discovery and organizational tool only — it does not run, referee, insure, staff, or supervise any league, tournament, game, practice, or event listed or organized through the app. By using FYL to find, join, register for, or organize any sporting activity, you acknowledge and accept the risks of physical injury inherent in that activity, and agree that FYL, its owners, and operators are not liable for any injury, death, or property damage arising from your participation in any activity discovered or organized through the app.
You are responsible for evaluating the safety, insurance coverage, and legitimacy of any league, tournament, team, or organizer before participating. FYL does not verify insurance, background, or safety practices of any league or tournament organizer.
8. Acceptable Use
- Use FYL for any unlawful purpose
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any team, league, or tournament
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or private data
- Interfere with or disrupt FYL's servers or infrastructure
- Scrape or harvest data from the app for purposes other than your own personal use of the service
9. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Account > Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior toward other users, or misuse the app.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
FYL is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that any league, tournament, or team listed in the app is legitimate, safe, or accurately described by its organizer.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FYL and its owners and operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the app or your participation in any activity discovered or organized through it — including, without limitation, personal injury, property damage, or disputes between users.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use FYL after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Apple App Store Terms
If you downloaded FYL from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply:
- These Terms are between you and FYL only, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
- Your license to use the app is limited to a non-transferable license to use it on any Apple-branded device you own or control, per the App Store's usage rules.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- Apple is not responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not disclaimed by these Terms.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, legal compliance claims, or claims under consumer protection law.
- Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending, settling, or discharging any claim that the app infringes a third party's intellectual property rights.
- You represent that you're not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo and are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance, Apple has the right to enforce these Terms against you.
