FYL ("we," "us," or "FYL") provides an app that helps adult recreational sports players find, create, and manage local leagues, tournaments, and teams. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
- Account information: your name, email address, phone number, and password.
- Location: the city, state, and optionally zip code you provide, which we convert into approximate map coordinates so we can show you leagues, teams, and tournaments genuinely near you (within about 50 miles), rather than just anywhere in the same state. We do not collect your precise GPS location, and we do not track your location in the background.
- Team and league content: team names, sport, age group, state, badge photos, and league or tournament details you create (name, sport, age group, gender division, fee, registration deadline, and similar).
- Roster information: player names, jersey numbers, and (optionally) an email address you add to your team's roster. Adding a player this way does not create a separate user account for them. If the email you add matches an existing FYL account, we notify that person they were added to the roster — we never expose other users' account information to search or lookup in this process.
- Basic technical data needed to operate the app, such as your account ID and timestamps.
- We do not use third-party advertising or analytics services, and we do not show ads in the app.
How We Use Your Information

- To let team owners add players to a roster by email and notify them when they do
- To send you app notifications relevant to your account

How Your Information Is Shared
- With other users: team, league, and tournament information you create (such as a team name, sport, or league details) is visible to other signed-in users, since finding and joining local leagues is a core part of the service. Your team's player roster is visible to other signed-in users as well.
- With service providers: we use Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore) to store your data and manage sign-in. Firebase acts as our data processor and does not use your data for its own purposes.
- We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
Data Storage & Security
Your information is stored using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Firebase Authentication), which applies industry-standard security practices to protect your data in transit and at rest. Access rules ensure only you can create, edit, or delete your own team, league, tournament, and account information. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices & Rights
- You can update your name and location at any time from Account.
- You can edit or delete your team at any time from the Team Portal.
- You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Account > Delete Account.
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at the email below.
- You can sign out of the app at any time from Account > Logout.
Children's Privacy
FYL is intended for adult recreational sports players and is not directed at children. You must be at least 18 years old to use FYL. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
